D.L. Meacham LP was founded in Houston, Texas, in 1979 by D.L. Meacham Sr. From the start, the company was founded on a simple concept: deliver lasting quality and value on every job. Beginning with our first major hardscape construction project at Moody Gardens in Galveston in the early 1980’s, we’ve remained true to our mission. That principle has resonated with both our customers and our employees. In fact, several of our key people have been with the company since its inception and many on our staff have been with us for over 20 years. That stability and loyalty translates into consistent and dependable work for our customers.
Through the years, one of the greatest attributes of our company has been our employee base. The majority of our superintendents and foremen have been with the company for over 20 years, and the balance of our foremen have been with the company for a minimum of seven years. All of our superintendents and most of our foremen have been through various OSHA-approved training courses and adhere to the rule that “safety is first and foremost on our projects.” We consider every employee a safety inspector. “Everyone wants to return home safely to their families at the end of each work day.”
